NTU Food Grid

On-campus food discovery service

As part of an intro to CS course, we had to deploy a simple website using WordPress. My group decided that a food map cum discovery platform for all canteens across our campus would be a cool idea.

The platform would rely on user-generated content: you could submit images, names and ratings of your favorite food items from each canteen. You could also rate other submissions and search for the most shiok food around you by location based on these ratings.

In the course of buidling the project, I picked up CSS and PHP to created a custom WordPress theme and learnt a ton about plugins, web hosting and databases. We even made the site live at ntufoodgrid.xyz, but eventually chose to shut it down after nobody used it!
